About the event
Jul på Trøndersk is an ensemble that performs well-known and beloved Christmas songs in the Trøndelag dialect, with their own twist. The band creates its own versions of everything from Hans Rotmo to The Christmas Song, translating the lyrics into the Trøndelag dialect and approaching the material with artistic freedom.
The band consists of four musicians from Trøndelag, with an instrumentation of vocals, trumpet, synths, piano, and guitar, giving them space to create expansive and varied soundscapes. During the concerts, you’ll experience everything from atmospheric and intimate interpretations to more humorous and playful moments.
In Christmas 2025, Jul på Trøndersk will release their debut EP, recorded at ØRA Studio in Trondheim. The EP consists of three favorite folk tunes, showcasing the wide range of how the musicians can sound together. This concert at KRA in Stavanger is part of the band’s third Christmas tour.
