About the event
We invite you to join Koiro Duo at KRA - Kunst Rom Arbeid, for an open work-in-progress presentation during their artistic residency in Stavanger.
Formed by Manuel Rosales (Argentinian - guitar & voice) and Stephanie Kobori (Brazilian - clarinet & voice), Koiro Duo explores the repertoire of Argentinian, Brazilian, and Andean folk music, as well as their own compositions in these styles, through an intimate acoustic sound.
During the residency, they collaborate with Eduardo Scaramuzza (Brazilian percussionist) and a Stavanger-based artist to record six pieces for their debut EP.
This informal sharing offers a glimpse into the creative process behind the music and invites the local community to experience the project as it takes shape.
