Morning Classes with Anders Engebretsen

ABOUT THE CLASS

During class, we’ll warm up with a series of exercises, movement sequences, and improvisation tasks. The tasks focus on physicality, weight shifts and coordination, looking at different ways of using flow and form in our dancing. We’ll work with music and use it actively to cultivate joy, rhythms and dynamic. Altogether, we’ll find ways of sharing time, space and dancing.

BIO

Anders Engebretsen works as a freelance dance artist. Upon graduating from London Contemporary Dance School, he toured internationally with the company VERVE before obtaining an MA at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2018. Anders has extensive production experience, both off and on stage, and works with playfulness and charm in collaborative contexts. As a dancer, Anders has worked with, among others, Utvik/Barfod, Panta Rei Danseteater, Kristin Helgebostad, and with Marit Meløe as the duo Meløe/Engebretsen.
