The KRA residency program recently hosted 'In Connection,' a collaborative project with Haut and RAS. This residency focused on the work of Porous Nests.
Porous Nests is a group of choreographers and performers, including Kat Staub, Peter Scherrebeck, and Snorre Elvin. During their time at KRA, Porous Nests explored the themes of dance, performance, and song while engaging with changing spaces through installation and choreography. The collective has roots in various cities across Europe, such as Copenhagen, Berlin, Amsterdam, Vienna, Montpellier, and Aarhus. Their work addresses topics like queer mythologies, hyperreal fiction, drag, intergenerational trauma, and community care. Porous Nests functions as both a professional collaboration and a chosen queer family, built on years of friendship. The residency allowed them to focus on research and development in choreography and performance, examining their combined experiences to create new material.
