Membership
Membership at KRA is for professional artists based in or connected to Stavanger and Rogaland, and is personal - for you only. By signing up as a member, you're joining the artistic community at KRA, and get daily access to our shared work space. Normally we are around 30 members from different art forms, sharing the space and supporting and respecting each other. Please read through the extra information before signing up, or send us a message if you have any questions.
Membership or Rent? The membership is personal, and mainly meant to support your daily work in between projects. KRA can be a workplace for both your artistic and/or admin work, as well as being a place to meet other freelancing co-workers, and share ideas and expertise. You can book a studio for a few hours each day, and spend the rest of the day in the shared working areas. For project work (like a full-time production or pre-project), we suggest you get in touch for a limited work residency. Membership does not cover courses, workshops or teaching where you are charging other people to enter the space. If this is what you’re looking for, you can get in touch about rental agreements.
Booking and access Through membership you can book time in the dance studio, music room and office/meeting room. The guideline is that you can book up to 2-3 hours each day, and spend the rest of the day in the common areas. If no one else shows up or booked the space after you, you can feel free to stay longer. The common room is always open, and always shared - except the few occations where the whole space is rented out (see calendar).
Regular activities: Common Office Hours: Tuesdays 13:00 - 15:00 there will always be someone from the management around to help out with admin work (applications, budgets etc), host visitors or just share a cup of coffee over co-working. Morning Practice: A shared movement practice for dancers/movement based practitioners, happening on initiative by the members, and shared in the members chat. Open Stage: Every other month we host a multidisciplinary Open Stage, for both members and external artists to present their work at a low-treshold platform. Find the next Open Stage under "events".
